IMPORTANT WEATHER AND SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
This morning the National Weather Service released a weather briefing regarding heavy rain that is expected this weekend. The briefing included the following information:
- The remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon will bring heavy rain to the area
- Total rainfall will range from 3 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible
- Ohio has an elevated risk for Flash Flooding and Flooding, especially in tributaries (confidence is high that flooding will occur)
- Heaviest rain is projected to occur late Saturday along Ohio/Indiana Border
- Rain will continue into Monday
Due to this threat, a Flash Flood Watch that has been issued for the tristate area from 12:00PM Saturday until 8:00AM Monday.
Interstate 71 lane closures scheduled
Warren County (Friday, Aug. 24, 2018) - Various lane closures on north and south Interstate 71 between Western Row Road and Kings Mills Road nightly from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27 through Thursday, Aug. 30. Traffic will be maintained.
Arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. All work is contingent upon weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone. Move over or slow down.

Daytime Closure on Innovation Way for Bike Race
Lebanon, Ohio – Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio – Innovation Way (CR383), between Socialville-Fosters Road and Duke Blvd, will be closed on Sunday, September 2, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., for the Cincinnati Cyclocross bike race.
The detour for this closure will utilize Socialville-Fosters Road and Duke Blvd.

Western Row Road lane closures scheduled
Warren County (Monday, Aug. 20, 2018) - Bridge work requires various lane closures on Western Row Road this weekend.
Various lane closures on Western Row Road between Cintas Boulevard and Kings Island Drive/Interstate 71 ramps from 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 through noon Sunday Aug. 26. Traffic will be maintained.
Record Rainfalls and Flash Flooding in Deerfield Township
Deerfield Township – Record amounts of rainfall are causing flash flooding in parts of the Township especially near Simpson Creek.
Staff is working diligently to address the flooding issues. We ask for your patience as this is a complex issue and rainfalls are far exceeding what is typically experienced in the Township.
